Access For All
The Museum has always had to restrict access because the main entrance is down a steep flight of stairs from the Pier railway station.
People using wheelchairs, those with limited mobility and parents with heavy buggies would all benefit from our ambition to have a small lift installed to achieve our aim of access for all.
We have now launched our campaign to raise funds. Our first money raising activity is sponsoring a runner in the London marathon on April 26.
Our Museum Chairman, Tim Watts, successfully completed the marathon and we are pleased to announce that he has raised nearly £3000 which will go towards drawing up professional architect plans as the next stage in the process “to give us a lift”
